"Sometimes it can be." he said. "Darkness lies in the deepest of a person's heart, it takes a truly powerful person to use that darkness to their advantage." He was one of those people, it would take a lot of research and well in truth he was not afraid of trying to do a little research.
As to the response of the girl's reaction to her gift. "So, you don't really like it?"

She shook her head at his response. "You have a seriously twisted way of thinking." She said. "If you need to look to the darkness in your heart for an advantage doesn't that make you weak?" She asked. "Shouldn't you be able to win or get what you want on your own without some sort of darkness?"
"It's not that I don't like them, so much as I don't like that...that they hurt people." She said with a sigh.

Chase had to admit he was impressed, this girl obviously knew her stuff. Though he didn't exactly want to show it, that would be playing favorites. If it was one thing that he didn't want to do it was play favorites. "Now that is the real question that even i can't answer, that's up to you."

"Hm, some teacher." She said, slightly joking. "I thought they were supposed to know everything" She said in a mock tone. "And of course that's why I'm here, I want to learn how to control these stupid powers." She yelled. Sometimes she wondered why on earth she was the one who had them. "But I don't want to hurt people while doing it. I mean it's probably be safer if Ijust moved to some abandoned feild in the middle of nowhere." She said rolling her eyes.

Chase had to admit he was impressed at this. She had sarcasm. A firey personality. "But then the field wouldn't be safe." he said with a smirk. He glanced at the door again. he really really hoped that this girl was not his only student. The fact was, he might have enjoyed the company of the girl but he wanted to at least see someone new

"Ha, Ha." She muttered dryly at his remark about the feild. "I'd rather burn down a feild than a person." She saw him glance towards the door, and began to wonder the same thing. It seemed highly unlikely that she was the only student asigned to him. Though that ould be a blessing in diguise...
Did I really just think that?
She quickly shook it off as if it were nothing. "So what are we going to do today, Mr..." She trailed off realizing she didn't catch his name yet.

"Chase Young, my name is Chase Young. I don't like being called Mr." he said with a shrug. "It makes me seem a lot older than i really am." he said. Clearly the girl had gotten here early but surely there must have been a reason for that. After all, no kid wanted to get up so early just to meet the teachers. "What brings you here so early in the morning?"

Chase Young, huh? Even his name was attractive. She knew one of these days she'd probably call him "Mr." Anyways just to get on his nerves. "And just how old are you, anyways?" She asked. Of course, hearing his real age would probably give her a heart attack. Immortality was something she'd have to get used to.
At his question she shrugged. "Just my over enthusiasm for learning." She said, obviously joking. "I dunno, I geuss I was to nervous to sleep." She said with a shrug.

"You would probably have a heart attack if i said i was a few thousand years old." Chase said with a smirk. The idea of a student being too nervous to sleep seemed pretty possible. If you were a different being or special power and they had to go to the school, Sure he would have a hard time trouble sleeping.
"Meet anyone interesting since you've arrived?" he asked. "I take it you have met Rapunzel?"

She choked on air for quite a while. A few thousand years old? Well, that was certainly new. Freaked as she was she couldn't help but wonder something. "Let me get this straight, you're a few thousand years old, you look like you're twenty, and you think someone calling you Mr, will make you sound older than you really are?" She asked with a slight smirk.
"Yeah i've met her, there were a few other kids yesterday when I first got here. You're the only other teacher though." She said

Chase smirked. "Well, there's a reason why i am older than i look, but that is a lesson for another time. One in which requires more students. Not that i don't enjoy one on one training sessions but i think it would more of a surprsie to the class if you all saw what i was.."

"Must be some story if you have to wait until we all get here." She said. "Wonder what the big secret is." She said. His next question caught her her off gaurd for a moment. Impression? Well, he was the first teacher she'd met in a long time that didn't treat her like some deranged criminal, so in a way he had. As for any other impression he was certainly the most attractive teacher she'd ever had, and more laid back than any other, though she wouldn't say any of that alloud.
"You could say that..." she said. "And what about me?" She aksed. "I am your first student afterall."

"Well i don't like to say anything that might play favorites against the other students but so far, i have a feeling you are going to do quite well in my class." he said crossing his arms over his shoulders. "You have the true spirit of a fighter. I expect you to fight me with everything you have."

"I'm not asking you to play favorites, am I?" She asked slyly. "And I geuss coming from you I should take that as a compliment. Fighting isn't something I've ever imagined doing, but I beleive I have no choice now, huh?" It wasn't like she was weak or anything, if giving it her all she certainly could hold her own in a fight, but it was never a possibility that crossed her mind. Kimiko was usually a peaceful girl, unless angered to the point of no return.
"Fight you?" She scoffed at his words. "Mr. Tall, dark, and scary? Thanks but I enjoy life." She said sarcastically.

Chase smirked. "Really, just because i have aura of evil around me, you hontestly think i would kill a student?" he asked. "Never heard that one before." a lie, sure. But who was he to tell his students everything, it was none of their business. After all, they would find out things about the teachers on their own
